Rostagni

Rostagni 1834 is nestled among the vineyards in the heart of the Langhe, surrounded by the tranquility of the countryside. Just minutes from Novello (15 minutes by walk), La Morra, and Barolo, it is conveniently located 15 minutes from Alba and Bra, 45 minutes from Turin, and 1.5 hours from Milan and its airport. Situated in the Barolo Langhe region, a UNESCO World Heritage site, this area is renowned as one of the world’s finest and most diverse wine-producing regions. Its exceptional geographical position, favorable climate, and rich subsoil create an environment of extraordinary biodiversity, shaping the unique character of these rolling hills. Novello sits at the heart of this remarkable region, positioned between the mountains and the sea. What makes Novello truly enchanting is its authenticity, deeply rooted in the rural traditions that define its identity. A peaceful and quiet village, it is not only part of the prestigious Barolo wine area but also the birthplace of Nas-cëtta, an ancient native grape variety that has been rediscovered and revived by local winemakers.

The Renovation

For years, we dedicated ourselves to the renovation with care and patience, working on it personally whenever we had time. We selected materials, built with our own hands, and paid attention to every detail, with the goal of preserving and enhancing the soul of this place. We wanted to respect it, blending tradition with the design we love. Today, we share this home with those who are looking for a welcoming, peaceful place with a strong character. A place to slow down, listen to stories, and immerse yourself in nature.

Sustainability

Our approach has been to honor ancient building techniques while embracing a forward-thinking vision focused on sustainability, natural resources, and material reuse. Starting with a conservative renovation, we designed the project to strike the perfect balance between comfort and environmental responsibility in every aspect, from services to the smallest details. We maximize the energy generated by our solar panels, while heating and hot water in winter are provided by wood pellets, a sustainable energy source. Rainwater is collected and repurposed for garden irrigation, and we use refillable bottles for apartment products to minimize plastic consumption. Every choice reflects our commitment to a more sustainable way of living.
